Machine Controller Terms of Sale
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These terms apply when you buy a Surfacecraft machine controller ("the controller") from WebCAM CNC LLC ("we", "us"). Using the controller with Surfacecraft is covered by our Terms of Service, and what it sends us by our Privacy Policy.
1. Orders and prices
Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout, with tax and shipping added before you pay. Your order is accepted when we email you a confirmation. If we can't fulfil it, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
2. Shipping
We ship to the address you give at checkout and email you tracking when the order leaves. The risk of loss passes to you when the controller is delivered. If it arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days with a photo and we'll replace it.
3. Returns
You can return an unused controller in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the price. Email [email protected] first so we can send you return instructions. If the controller is faulty, we pay return shipping; otherwise you do. This doesn't affect any right you have under the law where you live to cancel a purchase made online.
4. Limited warranty
For 1 year from delivery we warrant that the controller will be free from defects in materials and workmanship when used as described in our documentation. If it isn't, we'll repair or replace it, or refund the price if we can't. Email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the problem.
The warranty doesn't cover damage from:
- wiring mistakes, the wrong power supply, or connecting it to equipment it isn't designed for;
- modified or unofficial firmware, or opening the case except as our documentation describes;
- water, dust, fire, impact, or normal wear;
- use with a machine that is faulty or unsafe.
This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under consumer protection law, which it doesn't limit.
5. Safety
The controller sends commands to machines that can cause injury, fire and damage. Read the documentation before connecting it, keep your machine's emergency stop working, and never leave a running machine unattended. The safety section of our Terms of Service applies to every job the controller runs.
6. Accounts and updates
The controller's cloud features (sending jobs, live status, calibration and updates) need a Surfacecraft account and an internet connection. We update its firmware over the internet; some updates fix safety or security problems and may be required for those features to keep working.
7. Liability, law and disputes
The limits on liability and the governing law and disputes sections of our Terms of Service also apply to the controller, except that nothing limits our responsibility under this warranty or the law for a defective product.
